Japanese “Service Charge” Button
A square button bearing the Katakana character サ (“sa”). This is an abbreviation of sābisu-ryō (サービス料), meaning “service charge,” and is commonly used in Japan to indicate something complimentary or free of charge, such as a drink given “on the house” to a regular customer.
Most platforms display the button in blue or gray, though Facebook’s is red. Various early Google designs were orange.
